Dr. Christine Marie Katas is an educator, author and media psychologist whose rich perspective is strengthened by her harrowing personal journey through the world of cults, including having survived cult-based sex trafficking. Today Christine’s research interests include survivor stories, victim-blaming, media misrepresentation, life stories, and post-traumatic growth. She currently lives a fascinating life in Colorado City, Arizona, where she runs Voices for Dignity, a Utah-based 501(C)3 that uses a positive psychology approach to help survivors of oppression, public humiliation and coercive control. She’s married, has four grown children and a menagerie of adorable animals.
